Event Alert: LA Times 404 at Lodge Room
It's an off week for the newsletter, but here is an event that's too cool to miss!
The LA Times’ 404 is an innovative new initiative from the publication that I strongly recommend you follow.
404 is where everything extremely L.A. and everything extremely online crash together to create something new, 404 is the page you've been waiting for, a place to find stories from the furthest corners of the internet, underground scenes, or neighborhoods right outside your door.
Their team includes podcaster Tom Carroll, and their brand of news and media creation often intersects with some neat audio-adjacent projects… Like their upcoming event at Lodge Room!
On Friday, January 12th, the journalists and creators behind 404 are coming to Lodge Room alongside Tolliver and LA writer/author Aiden Arata. Come by for a night of unconventional, boundary-pushing LA journalism and a Tolliver set!
Find tickets here for $15. Lodge Room is a great venue (right below a great restaurant and bar), where I have seen many a show and many a live taping – metered street parking, free residential parking, and suspiciously cheap lot parking are relatively plentiful.
